Therapeutic Coaching is a safe space where more traditional coaching is integrated with healing modalities like Mindfulness, NLP, Hypnosis and EFT. With the tools this model has, we can heal the past, become more present in the now and they will also help you create a new future. Therapeutic Coaching can give you deep self-awareness, the tools to learn to regulate your nervous system and rewire your brain, which can lead to sustainable change and growth and ultimately a better future.

What to expect from Therapeutic Coaching
Therapeutic Coaching is a model developed by Dr Alex Howard and Anna Duschinsky who founded The Optimum Health Clinic in London. They created a model that combines traditional coaching techniques with several healing modalities that allow clients to move to their goals, while healing the impact of the past. The impact of the past is often what gets in the way of us moving forward.
The model incorporates principles from:
Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)
Clinical Hypnotherapy
Developmental Psychology
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping)
Mindfulness

In Therapeutic Coaching I found a model that helped me truly understand what had been going on for me. My patterns, beliefs, my emotions and what was happening in my nervous system and how all of those had been unconsciousy running my life. For 3 years I trained in Therapeutic Coaching and I am passionate to now be able to support others in their journey of discovery and growth.
Neuro Linguistic Programming studies how we build and express our perception of our reality. It uses language to explore how we created unhelpful thoughts and beliefs and how these create our reality. By exploring our patterns and beliefs we can find the map of our inner world. When we make these unconscious patterns and beliefs conscious we can start shifting the patterns that keep us stuck.
Hypnotherapy can help us relax and access our unconscious in an open way. Within Therapeutic Coaching I use hypnotherapy in a conversational way, through using some hypnotic language, within the tools and processes that can be used to heal our inner wounds. This use of hypnotic language helps clients feel relaxed and able to get to the deeper layers of what is going on for them.
Developmental Psychology has taught us that we are all shaped by experiences in our childhood. These experiences can result in survival behaviours, patterns of behaviour we default to, which we carry into our adult lives. In the now however, these patterns often don’t serve us anymore. Getting clear on what doesn’t serve us anymore, allows us to create the change in the right places.
Emotional Freedom Technique, or tapping, is often described as emotional acupuncture. It is a technique that uses acupressure by tapping on different key meredian points on the head and chest, to relieve emotional charge or pain that has been stuck in the body. You tap while maintaining a mental focus on the issue you are working on. The tapping sends a calming signal to your brain and nervous system, allowing the nervous system to release and process the emotions or feelings in a safe way. It is a gentle and yet powerful tool to help overcome sometimes difficult pieces we are holding on to.
Mindfulness helps us to focus on the now. It teaches us to become aware of what is happening inside of us and around us in any given moment. It allows us to slow down, become more present to our life and find more space and calmness within.
